Moderate neighborhood trail, managed by Huntersville Parks & Rec division, which uses the woods surrounding athletic fields of Huntersville Park. Trail begins as an out-and-back which opens into a small network of interconnected trails. Trail marked by red arrow trailblazes. Several bridges, small ravines, climbs, and some rooty sections.
I-77 Exit 18, go East on WT Harris to Turn lane to Statesville Rd(Hwy 21), turn left. Go north on Statesville Rd(Hwy 21), you will continue through Hambright Rd intersection. Begin looking for Verhoeff Rd, turn Right onto Verhoeff. Follow Verhoeff about 100yds, you will see "Huntersville Athletic Park" sign on right. Turn into park and take immediate right, looking for green MTB Trail sign.
